This is a great local organization whose membership annually votes to recognize Washington, DC area musicians/producers/engineers,etc. All genres of music are well represented and some prominent past "Wammie" Winners include Mary Chapin Carpenter, The Seldom Scene, The National Symphony Orchestra, and Hall of Fame awards to Joan Jett, Emmylou Harris, Roy Clark and more.
